The wedding season was off too a start for me Easter weekend. I got to spend the day with Kathryn and Preston and what a beautiful day it was. I had so many beautiful details to photograph that it made my job easy. Thank you so much for letting me spend your special day with you, Kathryn and Preston! It's very funny calling someone else my name. It hasn't happened in a longtime. Anyway, I just finished up Courtney and Rob's Engagement Session last night and thought I would post a few for them to enjoy. These photos turned out gorgeous. I wanted to try something new inspired by my friend Jesh Derox. He has to be the most inspiring photogs out there. He is not only an amazing artist, but a beautiful person both inside and out. I can't say how much he touched me when I spent some time with him at a workshop this past year. He touched me deeply within my heart and soul. I love to read his blog for a deeper appreciation of life! Enjoy Courtney and Rob!

I guess I should explain why you are seeing some big changes here. A new site, a new name, and lots of great new materials to help my clients. A few months ago, I decided to change the name of my photography studio here in Springfield, IL because I noticed that everyone was having a really hard time with my name! Heck, My husband's own family can't decided how it is pronounced! Matevey is a hard name to say and spell! Throw Courtney on top of it and Yowza! Anyway, one night laying in bed Green Apple Photo came to me. It is part a reflection of my style, the fun we have, and my desire to try to run as green a business as I can! But it is mostly a lot about me and a little story from my childhood that is super sweet! I am adopted and that is just the start of the story! So... I am really proud to announce the change in name to: Green Apple Photo. Can't wait to share all of the other things that are happening here! Stay tuned for more details!
