Atelier Bliss

Since I can remember, I have been in love with fashion and design. When I was a little girl my mom and aunt use to drag me antiquing and shopping every weekend. I wasn't so thrilled a lot of the time, but it has greatly influenced my life and made me a very visual person. The love for all things visual is what lead me to begin working in the bridal industry at age 16 in one way or another. When I was in college I got the opportunity to work for the Ultimate Bride and that introduced me to the world of all things beautiful to do with weddings. And as life goes on, I am lucky each week to come to work and get to be a part of the excitement of all things weddings. I absolutely love the glamour and beauty of a wedding!

A couple of months ago, I was invited to be a part of an outstanding group of ladies in the Chicago Area through I client relationship that I have. I was thrilled and blown away to get the chance to work with these ultra talented women. The five of us will be hosting Atelier Bliss in Chicago. It going to be an event for the discerning bride who also has a love for design and all things beautiful.

You will get to enjoy wonderful food and drinks in a very relaxing atmosphere at Marigold Restaurant and peruse the offerings of Hanuri Catering and Events, owned by Sarah L, whose food is to die for; Truly Smitten, owned by Sarah K, whose invitation design is the most elegant, modern, and beautiful that I have seen to date; Just The Little Things, owned by Cindy Kang, whose wedding design and coordination cannot be done without: Vale of Enna, owned by Grace, whose floral design is amazing and gorgeous and is the icing that any wedding must have: Junsui Designs, owned by Catherine, whose jewelry I and any bride needs in her wardrobe, and of course me..... Green Apple Photo!

We can't wait to see you there! It should be a real evening of luxury!

Summer Adventures

This has been the busiest Summer here at Green Apple Photo. My summer sessions were completely booked and in between weddings and children's photo sessions I got the chance to travel a bit. I really should not be blogging now, but just wanted to share a few of photos of my trip to Savannah because so many of my clients have asked me about the trip. Savannah is a beautiful city. It is full of great architecture, galleries, and shopping. While I was there, I also go the chance to go out to Tybee Island to meet with one of my Destination Brides. What a great beach. It is so wide that you can walk to the barrier island at low tide. Tybee is the type of island that you just don't see anymore. It was Oh, So Quaint! Sorry, no pictures of the beach, I was afraid someone might want to take off with my goodies while I enjoyed that waters! Enjoy, and check back for my California adventures!

Susan & Andy- Engagement Session

Here are a few of my favorites from Susan and Andy's engagement session that I shot before I left for California. Watch for their upcoming wedding images towards the end of September. The details should be great! Susan is an architect and has designed the reception site. From everything I have heard to should be gorgeous! I can't wait to photograph it!

My little guy!

He is not so little anymore. One more year before kindergarten starts! Time has flown! I promised my husband that I would post a few shots of Cohen for him to see. He needs a new photo at work! I think I am going to have to enlarge at least one of these for our house.

Miss Morgan

Morgan was a bit nervous about her session. I totally understand! I am not fond of being in front of the camera either. I know it is weird, but it is just not my cup of tea! I think we got a slam dunk here! What a beauty! We also got to have a little fun with photoshop. I wanted the basketball images to have a vintage feel. Enjoy!

Montecito Country Club-Wedding

May and Gary were just amazing to work with and the location could have not been more beautiful. They based the whole theme for their wedding around the fact that Gary is from Washington State. All of the details were based around Washington State Apples which they both love! Their wedding is a classic example that less is more!
