Here at Courtney Matevey Photography we are gearing up for a new year with all sorts of great new looks. This is where we need your help, we are looking for a few cuties to come in and have a play date with us while we produce some awesome artwork for you. You will also get to try out all sorts of great toys and such. Therefore during the the weeks of January 7th through 21st we will be holding the Design Sessions. I will only be holding 10 of these sessions, no more than two each day. With this you will get to have a great time and also get proofs! This is the only time during the year that we give you proofs. Thanks for being so patient! I know many of you have been waiting to see the Mexico Wedding I photographed! Things got really busy here around the holidays. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

I photographed Baby Ava today! She was born just a few days ago and is really precious. It is really important to take newborn portraits within two weeks to get the really tiny curled look she still has. I always feel really lucky anytime I get to photograph a brand new baby because we can do so many awesome things while they are still in that really sleepy state! Thanks again Kelly and BJ!

I know! I know! I never get around to getting you pictures of Cohen. This year I thought I might not even get a picture of him due to his wanting no part of mommy's work. Here are a few that we took this evening really quickly in the freezing cold! Enjoy!

I met Amy and Steve this summer when I was having lunch with my little man and of course Cohen had all sorts of baby questions for them. Anyway several months later baby Cael is here and Amy said she was so touched by our conversation that she could think of no one else to take his pictured. I was honored! Thanks guys!

I absolutely love working with toddlers! It is one of the last opportunites that we get to capture a child before they realize the camera exists.

We have lots of fun here and being silly is encouraged! These are a few of the great shots from a few really fun kids!

This little guy has to be one of sweetest! Look at that this little face! And his mom was really pleased that this didn't require any travel. Thanks Emily and Paul!

What a beautiful young lady both inside and out! Taylor and I had a blast the day we did her senior pictures! We even got trapped by a train! I have to say that I have been truly blessed to work with the seniors that I photographed this year. They are the most amazing, mature, young people that I have ever met, especially the young ladies. Our young people don't get enough credit these days. And I just have to say you guys are awesome and I only wish I was as accomplished and mature when I was a senior! WOW! Keep it up!
