Framing your wedding pictures

Often times Brides and Grooms pick up their wedding photos from their photographer, put them in a box, share them with friends and family and then they get put up and away. I was guilty of doing this until this past Friday. Except, I had not put them up, I had put them under a bed in my spare bedroom. Well the bed fell, and smashed not my wedding photos, but one of the only family photos that I had taken of my husband, my son, and myself together. I was really sick because I didn't have this as a digital file anymore. I quickly told my husband I have to take this to Sue and Geralyn at the Sue Thompson Gallery to see if it could be salvaged. I knew they were the only people who could help me. They told me not to worry, they would be able to fix it. I quickly had everything else that was precious to me framed, even with gas quickly rising to over $4/ gallon. These photos were something that I could never get back. Anyway, you never know when a roof leak, water leak, flood or anything else could ruin your photos so please take the time to have your photos properly framed. This is why my clients always leave with a finished and framed piece and I trust it to no one else other than the Sue Thompson Gallery! Check them out on their new blog and thanks ladies for showing off a little of my work in those awesome frames! Stay tuned for another Wedding Wednesday tip next week!

Nessann and Jason- A Mizzou Engagement

One thing I love about my engagement sessions is that it gives me a chance to really get to know my couples, especially if it is a destination wedding. Nessann and Jason met in a Chem class at Mizzou. Nissann is ultra organized and would provide Jason with Amazing Notes! Eventually they exchanged numbers and the rest is history. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in May. They have a great sense of style and I know their wedding will be full of it! Oh- I almost forgot! We were in Rocheport, Missouri. Can you believe that in the midwest you can sometimes find the sweetest most beautiful places?!

Megan + Billy= A Santa Barbara Rose Garden Wedding

Megan and Billy's Wedding was just fab! Their wedding was full of sweet details. It reminded me of a throw back to the 40's and 50's. Everything was white and pink with a subtle splash of color here or there. This was also my first green wedding. All of the table arrangements where made from green materials and the food was completely organic. I have to say that this had to be the best food I have eaten yet at a wedding and I have eaten at a lot. Nothing was overly fancy, but oh so flavorful and very fresh! Megan and Billy thanks so much and I hope Italy was fantastic!
